برای32 دومین سالگرد شهادت اسقف هایک هوسپیان مهر، صدای ایمان در سکوت ظلم

 

در سالگرد شهادت اسقف هایک هوسپیان مهر، با قلبی آکنده از احترام، یاد و راه مردی را گرامی می‌داریم که زندگی خود را وقف حقیقت، آزادی ایمان و محبت مسیح کرد. او نه تنها یک رهبر روحانی، بلکه صدایی شجاع برای عدالت، کرامت انسانی و وفاداری به انجیل بود.

اسقف هایک هوسپیان مهر در روزگاری ایستادگی کرد که بیان ایمان هزینه داشت؛ اما او با شجاعت، مسئولیت دفاع از آزادی پرستش و حقوق ایمانداران را پذیرفت و هرگز از حقیقت عقب‌نشینی نکرد. ایمان او صرفاً در کلام نبود، بلکه در عمل، فداکاری و حتی در جان‌فشانی تجلی یافت.

زندگی و شهادت او یادآور این وعده‌ی کتاب مقدس است:

«خوشا به حال آنان که در راه عدالت آزار می‌بینند، زیرا ملکوت آسمان از آنِ ایشان است.» (متی ۵:۱۰)

این آیه نه فقط یک جمله، بلکه تصویری زنده از مسیر ایمانی اوست.

امروز، مسئولیت ما تنها یادآوری یک نام یا یک تاریخ نیست؛ بلکه ادامه دادن راهی است که او با ایمان و شجاعت آغاز کرد. راهی که ما را به محبت بیشتر، خدمت صادقانه‌تر، دفاع از حقیقت و ایستادگی در برابر بی‌عدالتی دعوت می‌کند.

On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Bishop Haik Hovsepian Mehr, with hearts filled with reverence, we honor the memory and path of a man who devoted his life to truth, freedom of faith, and the love of Christ. He was not only a spiritual leader, but also a courageous voice for justice, human dignity, and faithfulness to the Gospel.

Bishop Haik Hovsepian Mehr stood firm in a time when expressing one's faith came at a great cost. Yet with courage, he accepted the responsibility of defending freedom of worship and the rights of believers, never retreating from the truth. His faith was not merely in words, but was manifested in action, sacrifice, and even the laying down of his life.

His life and martyrdom remind us of this promise from Scripture:

"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:10)

This verse is not merely a statement, but a living portrait of his journey of faith.

Today, our responsibility is not only to remember a name or a date, but to continue the path he began with faith and courage — a path that calls us to greater love, more sincere service, the defense of truth, and steadfastness in the face of injustice.

May the memory of Bishop Haik Hovsepian Mehr inspire future generations to preserve their faith, strengthen their hope, and spread the light of Christ throughout the world.
